Question about 2004 Mercury Mountaineer
My 2004 mountaineer premier check engine light goes on for one week and then will go off for approx 3-4 weeks and so on and so forth, was told by my dealer that this is a common problem in the "04 and the factory engineers haven't come up with a solution. Car runs fine otherwise!
What gives here??
This is most likely an O2 sensor issue, has the dealer checked the latest TSB's? (technical service bulletins.) I am sure there is one that covers this issue.
