Changed fuel filter truck will not start ,

First check if there is a fuel pressure in line. You can feal this by opening ignition, then pressing fuel input line with fingers within 5 second you have to feal pulsation. If there is pressure, then you have to read trouble codes, perhaps there are some problems with crank/cam shaft position sensors. You will need scan tool for this.

Has it been hot. That can do that. If not. Look at the plugs / how long they been in. / If it has a timing belt, and I think it dose it may have sliped a little. Check the belt all the way around see if there is a bad place on ti on the inside. may have a tooth or two gone. If so that it it. I had one do that to me.

Head lamp doesn't work

It all depends. You need to trace it back to the fuse and switch. A switch is cheap, the harness that the switch plugs into is cheap but you have to pull one wire out at a time and replace them in the exact same slots. The fuses are cheap and wire is cheap.
Whats not cheap is paying someone to track it down. So if you feal confident witn multimeter. Then its some what easy and very cheap to fix.
