Hi,

My dad and brother have been working non-stop in trying to figure out why our Chevrolet Silverado 97 truck doesn't start when it is cold out.

- My dad would try to start it, then leave it, come back and it would start right away. He would also charge the battery, put a heater by it, etc. It would start after this. What does that sound like to you?

- Because of the over maximum combustion they are wondering about the EGR valve. With the other symptoms I listed what do you think, added to this.

take a look or replace the cold start valve.
