Hi, My dad and brother have been working non-stop in trying to figure out why our Chevrolet Silverado 97 truck doesn't start when it is cold out.

My dad would try to start it, then leave it, come back and it would start right away. He would also charge the battery, put a heater by it, etc. It would start after this. What does that sound like to you?

Because of the over maximum combustion they are wondering about the EGR valve. With the other symptoms I listed what do you think, added to this.

2004 Chevy Silverado heater blows cold air. What would cause this problem?

the heat is independant from your ac. look for leaky radiator hoses or heater hoses, radiator cap, coolant

leaks inside your cab under the dashboard on your floor board. if you have non of these problems.

you may have a blocked or stopped up heater core and it will need to be replaced. depending on the

truck some replacements are easy and some hard , trucks and cars vary. good luck!
