There should be a fuse for the fuel pump check this first. If fuse is good you will probably need a pump. The fuel pump is cooled by being in the fuel. When ran low or out of fuel the pump gets hot and will blow a fuse or overheat and quit.

Check the fuel filter, it may be clogged. Since you ran it out of gas you got the last little bit in the tank that is going to carry the debris from the bottom of the tank.

I have a 2001 Buick Century I have ran out of gas for the first time how do I get it back started

The fuel pump is submerged in gas in the tank. The liquid gas keeps it from overheating. If the fuel pump was run in an almost dry tank and is the original pump, it may have gone bad. On many cars you can hear the pump run for a few seconds when the key is placed in the start position without starting the engine.

My Buick Century has started to run a little rough and going through gas more. Besides just the spark plugs and tune up, what could the problem be? Seems as though there is interference with air flow.

running rough, could be a few possible things besides spark plugs, and wires!
air filter, fuel filter, fuel injectors, fuel pump, coil pack, Etc.
Id start with the air and fuel filters!
Good luck, Hope this helps!

I ran out of gas in my 1998 Buick Century I put more gas in it and now it starts but putters and cuts back off. What could be causing it to cut off.

Maybe you picked up some junk at the bottom of tank. Check your filters and good flow to throttle body.

My chevy cavalier ran out of gas. I added gas and now it wont start.

Did you try to start with the tank empty.
Try primeing the engine with some starter fluid.
But I would bet you burned out the fuel pump.

The fuel filter should be replaced, as it may be plugged up from crud pulled into it from the bottom of the tank.
