No, its not hard to do but keep in mind if youre just going to drain the rad and refill it there is still a lot of coolant in the engine that wont be replaced........the drain plug will be somewhere near the bottom of the radiator, most will be a flat tab that you should be able to turn without any tools....remember lefty loosey righty tighty

HOW DFO YOU DRAIN THE RADIATOR OF 2002 3.4l MONTE

it should have a drain plug on the inner bottom that twist out. If not the bottom rad. hose will be fine to remove. I drain the water, and then run water through it with the hose still off. Replace the plug or hose and put in a cooling system cleaner (prestone) and fill with water. Start the car and let run for until it reaches a normal running temp, keep running for 5 min. urn engine off, let it cool and drain water. I then flush it again with water to remove any rust or gunk left in. I do this until I see good clear water running out. Reinstall your plug or hose and fill with (anti-freeze) be sure to get the right anti-freeze, some take a different color. If you use 50/50, it will take 3-4 to fill or 1 straight anti-freeze with mixture of water until full. Good luck

Auto heater won't heat

Is it very cold in your location? If your thermostat is stuck in the open position the car will never get to temeture, is the car showing normal coolant tempeture? It could be as simple as low coolant, check to make sure your coolant is topped off and the car is coming up to a normal temp level! Try the cheap easy stuff first!!

How do I change the coolan sensor in a 2002 Monte

the low coolant sensor is on the side of the radiator about 3 04 inches below the radiator cap. Yuo can unclip the wire and then there is a clip I think or it may just push in with an o ring around the nipp;e. So you will have to wiggle it out. I have the same problem. I just unplugged the damn thing. (disconect the wire)

My heater just stopped working in my 2002 monte carlo what is wrong?

your heater core is clogged due to the dexicool **** antifreeze GM uses. Your radiator is probably clogged up too. There is one trick you might try. Its. called a reverse flush. There are two small hoses aprox. 1 inch in diameter that go into the firewall under the hood on the passenger side. Take off both hoses , stick a high powered hose on the nossel (like at the car wash) and flush it out in both directions. All kinds of **** is going to fly out so stand back. You should also have your radiator flushed

02 Monte Carlo Message Center "Low Coolant"

Is you're thermostat opening properly? If not, then that would explain the "fullness" of your radiator.

Not hot air from heater

it could be a low coolant level or stuck thermostat or maybe even a clogged line you can try changing the thermostat or getting your radiator flushed out at like jiffylube or a place like that
