There is a 4 wire splice about 4-6 inches behind the door hinges under the carpet that corrodes and looses connection prompting the "hot ac diabled" data to come up on your diagnostic , not every case but you already replaced the fuel pump. take out the plastic on the drivers side and lift up the carpet . there should be a plastic sleeve around these wires . open that up check for corrosion and clean and repair wires as necesary

on the bottom left driver side unplug the black circular module that controls the temperature disable your stereo to hook back up to the teeth on the knob then feed the wire through back to where the module plugs in then put the stereo in the go under your steering wheel to the black module and plug it in now you have temperature back.
The red wire with black strip should be positive and brown should be neg. The middle wire is the control wire. Unplug the connector and take a cig lighter and heat the wire above the plug. Peel the plastic back to expose the wires. NEVER cut anything! Get two long peices of wire and loop them around your battery posts. Just touch each wire to the two wires on the fan. If the fan turns on its ok! If you dont want to go to the stealership, you can run a toggle switch under your dash. Just loop the two fans together and leave them unplugged. This will buy you some time untill you can get someone local to look at it. On hot days, just let it run! Better to leave them on then to forget to turn them on.
chk your key is it clean and did you unplug your pats module under the colume or is there a module behind cluster near radio and you didnt plug it in the light is on because the security system is on and you did not disable it by putting key in the swtch this should disable the system or a fuse could be burnt as well are you sure the dash is exactly the same year there could be different fetures
Sounds like a bad distributor control module. You blew-up your muffler because there was no spark.....lots of fuel in the exhaust....then an intremittent spark......BOOM!
Once the module cools off, it works again, because the crack in the circuit board re-connects....until it gets hot again, and opens the circuit........no more spark. Replace the module.
