Driver side rear window goes down but not up

The window can go off track. When you remove the door card look just above the door speaker, there is a nut on a stud for adjusting the window track, there are welds that hold the track( a long metal strip) this is what the adjuster connects to.
I repaired mine by rigging tie strips to keep the metal strip from moving. I do own a small mig welder but was afarid to weld for fear of cracking the window, so far the strips are working fine. JimH

Hi Frito and Fion, Does the window work in any direction from either control. If it does that will mean the motor is undamaged. The most common problem is the switch. Get another, new or second hand and try fitting that. If the motor has burned out it will have to be replaced. Try the switches and if that fails we'll go through the bigger job together. They get sluggish over time. If you remove them, clean them, and grease them with a light grease; you can probably get them to work again. Ibet they work better when the car is funning, as the voltage is higher from the alternator as compared to the battery.
As for yhe window, you might try some window track lubrication in the tracks. The motor may also be getting tired.

Ground goes through the master switch on the drivers side. Bad master switch can cause the other windows not to work. Don't forget to check the "window lock" switch in the master switch, which shuts off the other 3 windows.

'95 civic electrical windows all went dead

I'd take a look at the driver's door window switch unit. Power to each door is routed through that switch panel first, and then to the other doors. If it died or failed in some way, it'll keep you from opening any windows in the car, using any of the switches. They're available at most salvage yards for around $10 - it's a quick and easy try and it may well fix your problem.

Honda Civic 2003 door mirror

I would bet it's a mirror-image (sorry...) of the driver's side installation. See and migrate ~1/3 the way down to the pic labeled "Remove Sail Panel." If you already have the mirror it is probably as simple as replacing the existing outside cover with the mirror. If you're not sure you can do this on your own ask a mechanically-minded friend for help. Search the internet with for 50k hits - good luck!
