Check your transmission fluid level asap. if the level is good, you will need to inspect the shift solenoids located inside the transmission pan. replace any solenoids that are proven to be faulty. i would also advise to test the pcm/tcm for its operational value as well. this device controls the shifting patterns of the auto trans.
while checking the solenoids, if you notice any metal fragments on the bottom of the pan, this will be a sign of major gear friction. you should re build in this case.
SOURCE: heater
the 1st thing is to see if the heater core has flow, check this by touching the in and out hose of the core at the engine firewall, if both are hot then the heater core is ok, at that point u will have to check the blend door to see if it moves, this door diverts the air over the hot heater core or the cold AC evaporator core, it is often controlled by a small special electric motor, it is called the blend door actuator motor, if it fails it will useually fail in the cold air position, to change this motor u must remove the dash.

solution one:
If your driving in your car and it suddenly dies for no reason. That
usually means that the air bag kill switch stopped working. Some kind
of safety device to kill the engine.
This is what happened to me I was driving in my car home from work and everything is perfect one minute and then the car DIES!!! The next morning took it to my mechanic and he looked under the hood for 4 hours and found nothing. It wasn't doing it that day. I was insisting that my car was not working properly and the mechanic said he found nothing in the diagnosis. Then I was leaving and the darn air bag light came on. I went back in to the garage that minute. He took the car back in and found the problem within one hour. It was the darn air bag switch.
solution two:
Check the Distributor Cap and Rotor. Check Spark Plugs and wires. Replace if necessary.
solution three:
Check Air filter and fuel filter. Replace if necessary.
solution four:
This is the most expensive solution but if all else fails Change the Control Computer. Garage will charge around $500.

There shouldn't be any oil behind the cover. If you have oil leaking from a crack in the timing cover you should remove the covers and investigate where the leak is from to repair it.
