Question about 2001 Ford Windstar
Its hard to say why the engine is running poorly, and though it may be fuel related (bad gas) i dont believe ethanol is the cause. when was your last fill up? how many miles have you driven on the last fill up? when did your vehicle start acting up?

SOURCE: E85 fuel in a regular gas tank
Siphon out as much of the E85 as you can and fill the tank with good gasoline and drive it like you stole it for a while. You can't drain a tank without removing it and the fuel filter isn't going to catch anything in the E85. This is what I would do anyway.
