Question about 2000 Ford Taurus
Ok, Here's a problem I haven't EVER encounred, nor read of anyone having it
2000 Tarus SE Wagon 3.0L FFW
Problem: While in the 'drive' or reverse position, the car will suddenly surge (and rpms will increase) in about a five second intervals ... I actually need to hold down the brake so it won't proceed to gain (about 7mph)
Now for the 'catch' -- This problem ONLY happens when (what I have explained above) AND the blower motor ON, but only in DEFROST or A/C mode .. When it 'vent' or 'floor heat' .. No problem - Park and Neutral.. No surge
Any clues ??
What may be happening is
when you have your a/c running you are putting more stress on the motor.
in these times cars are electronic all the way through.
the control box with monitors what the car is doing. it is over compensating for the a/c and being put in drive at the same time
a new age car the motor will increase its power slightlet to compinsate for things happening eg. put in drive, a/c compressor being ingauged, or high drain electronics such as a rear elecrtronic demistior.
you may be able to take it to a modern car mechanic and have it all reprogrammed if this dose not work your mane icu computer may be on its way out
hope this helps
