The above works for the driver's side light but not the driver's side as Dodge in it's wisdom put an air filter assembley in front of the light so you can't get access to the bulb without removing the assembly. The manual also says to remove the front grill and then the light assembly will pull out and you can access the bulb that way. I think removing the air filter would be easier.

No. Just twist black locking retainer about half turn counterclockwise (left), remove it & wiggle bulb out. replace bulb without touching glass part of it which shortens the life if you do. Add a little vaseline to Orange O ring, to make it pop back in, after you make sure tabs on bulb are aligned with ones in the hole of housing. You may need to wiggle it back in too. Put retaining ring back on, turn clockwise until it locks, plug wire connector back in to back of bulb, until it snapps onto catch on bulb and your good to go.

I certainly don't remember all that on my 95' neon, but i guess that's progress, or engineering at it's best. I hate to say it, but that goes on in every industry, I guess to improve the economy. You get so frustrated trying to do things yourself now, that you end up paying someone else to get frustrated, and do it for you.?

No, you can easily reach your hand behind without removing anything and the bulb can be removed and replaced. If your hand is too large then their are two screws on the top of the light assembly that once removed you can pull the hole assembly out and change the bulb

Damaged grill and driver's side headlight assembly completely missing

Yeh, but who won?? All you need is an eye patch and dental work. Poor deer.
If you have the time and inclination, a trip or two or 3 to a salvage yard could get you all the parts to renew it, and save you a lot of money that a body shop would charge.

How to replace head lights on a 2008 cadilac dts

Turn off your Cadillac CTS and look below the front grille for the bottom pins that hold it in place. Push these pins inward to disengage them.

  • 2 Open the hood. Look for the pins that hold the grille in place on the engine compartment side. Push in these pins. Pull the grille off the front of the Cadillac CTS.
  • 3 Remove the side pins from the CTS fender on the side that has the headlight you wish to replace. Pull the side fender away from the vehicle to prepare for removing the headlight.
  • 4 Remove the three bolts on the top and rear of the headlight.
  • 5 Disconnect the wiring harness from the back of the headlight.
  • 6 Push or pull the headlight through the front of the Cadillac CTS and set it aside. This part may require a lot of force if the headlight is stuck.
  • 7 Insert the new headlight along the runners upon which the previous headlight sat, and attach the wiring harness. Reinstall the three bolts you removed earlier, as well as the side finder and the grille.

Replace low beam drivers side headlight on 1993 olds cutlass supreme convertible

Remove turn signal assembly (uses a torx 15 driver). This will expose the two 10mm bolts on the one side of the headlight assembly. Remove the plastic front grill (uses a torx 15 driver - there are about 6 screws). This will expose the other two 10mm bolts on the headlight assembly. Remove the four 10mm bolts to remove the headlight assembly and this will allow you access to the headlight you need to replace.

Do I need to remove entire grill to change front left headlight?

If they are sealed beam headlights then you have to remove the grille in order to gain access to the screws to change the light. If they are halogen bulbs, they are accessed from behind the headlight. Held in by a retaining ring.

My front headlight lamp is out how do I replace the bulb

Unlike some of the older vehicles where the entire lens comes out, these have bulbs that plug into the lens. Reach in between the battery and the grill on the passenger side and there should be a connector, push the connector together and twist it, then the bulb will come out of the housing and you can pop it out of the connector. Installation is the reverse. The same goes for the driver's side it is located between the underhood storage container and the grill.

What is the easiest way to get to the radiator fan relay on the bumper behind the front grille?

Yes, first remove the drivers side headlight. There are 3 bolts to remove for the headlight assembly. Once it is removed, you can have access to the relay. You may have to remove some of the screws that hold the top of the front facia to the cross member to give you some more access, but you don't have to take off the whole grill to replace the relay. Hope this helps.

    Driver's side Headlight Bulb Replacement

Do you mean the entire headlight assembly or just the bulb?
If it's the entire headlamp look at the new one to see where the fastening points are, the grill may have to be removed and also the parking lamp lens, if it's just the bulb it's easy Open your hood look at the back of the headlight assembly and twist the bulb holder ring to release it.
