Changed battery on my 2004 jeep now my remote car starter will not work. I need to know how to reprogram the remote car starter

It appears based on Google, that you must take it to the dealer to be re-programmed. Also, look in the Owner's Manual for instructions.

We put a bulldog remote starter in my 2005 chrysler town & country minivan, but when you hit the button it only starts the engine for about 2 seconds then quits. The engine light stays lit until you hit...

Since the vehicle come with the transponder key,(key with security chip inside)You will need to leave a transponder key in the vehicle as close to the ignition as possible(preferably in a hidden location)

Please rate this solution.

Remote starter

i worked as a chevy mechanic for many years, it sounds like your keyless entry module needs to be reprogrammed, only problem is, it takes a $4000 and a subscription to GM's service site. which most don't have, so its easier to just take it in to the dealer, however before they start working on it have them check for recalls on the programming, chevy releases reprograms on the computer systems every couple months to solve issues like this, if your van has an open reprogram on it, then the dealer will reprogram it for no charge. but make sure you have them check for open bulletins before they put any labor into finding the problem, you may get out with no bill at all if so.

Reprogramming keyless entry remote...

Believe it or not, the information and instructions for reprogramming your particular model of vehicle is provided in your owner's manual. The dealer does not need to be involved unless you have lost all your programmed and programmable keys.
