Vauxhall zafira 2001 auto
H I have got a 2003 zafira drives normally but every now and the it will cut out and stop, and not start for about ten minutes, then seems to cools down and there is a clicking top right left hand side of engine space once the clicking stops it drives , we have had crank sensor changed and new coil before we had the coil changed, the battery went in the key fob too and the alarm goes off on entry we after we place key in ignition and alarm stops before we drive is there a connection between the two? Any clue what problem is

Hi it sounds like you have done everything you can do, it now looks like your going to need to get the immobilizer reset, this can be done at most garages but its best if you shop around to see the best price you can get as its not cheap.
have you tried locking the door with the key and then opening it with the key then try the car see if it will work.
failing that its going to need the imob re-programming so that it accepts your key fob, it may just be that you need the fob replacing as the chip inside could have failed they will be able to test all this for you.
let me know if you need further assistance, not that theirs much more i can do without being their with the equipment to test the immobilizer, hopefully it will just be the fob that needs replacing.
you could just try one last thing when you get in the car and put the key in the ignition try holding the fob as close as you can to the ignition barrel as this is where it picks the signal up from so try holding it close to their and see if that then lets you start the car
failing that its going to be a trip to the garage.

Do you feel any resistance when you pull the lever? If not, your cable is diconnected, probably behind the lever. If you feel resistance, your latch may not be functioning... may have to manually release through front grille.
