My 2004 Kia Sedona minivan blows out HOT air when my AC is on i'm told it is possibly the blend door actuator. How hard is it to replace?

On the inside trim, you can remove screws that are by the door handle, arm rest, under door and side of door and then gently pull back on the panel as there will also be retaining clips attached and you don't want to break them. You'll need to lift the door panel upwards in order to get it off the window ledge. Pull back the weather seal and you'll be able to get to remove the bolts securing the outer handle on

yes, actuator--black box with motor and gears inside that rotates the blend door. I think yours is right on the front of the heater box, to the right of center under dash. Remove actuator and check door for proper operation. If it opens and closes smoothly by hand, replace the actuator. If the door is sticking, you will probably have to take the heater box out of the car, split it open, and repair whatever is keeping it from opening.

your a/c compressor is not working.
you have to have the system checked by an air conditioning place or the dealer as to what the cause is.

Could be a loose and/or warn belt..
Could be the compressor clutch..
Could be the compressor..

Check the metal part of the heater core lines at the firewall if you can get to them and see if one side is noticeable colder than the other. At least one of them should be hot or you have a bad thermostat. If both are hot than your hot/cold actuator inside is having a problem
