Question about 2003 Kia Rio

New fan attaches through the radiator?

2002 Kia Rio, puchased new radiator fan, however, it looks nothing like the stock fan. Salesperson claims it attaches through the radiator or something. So we put holes in the radiator to install this?

Take it back and get stock fan...aftermarket fans like that attach with zip ties through the radiator core securing them like a sandwich from other side ...good luck

put fuse back in disconnect batt wait 60 seconds re attach, when the horn starts honking lock and unlock drivers door with the key while doors closed window down. get in car and start it, should be fine now.

look under hood on passenger side near radiator should see oil dip stick it will be yellow in a long metal tube mounted side engine block.

I need to locate the drain plug for the radiator on a 2002 Kia Rio.


open bonnet, look down rear of radiator to lower left hand side, wingnut tap is visible.

Front breaks 2002 kia rio


Front brakes would cost aprox: $180 or less for rotors+pads for the front. If you do it yourself. Hope this helps!

I can't find the thermostat on the 2001 Kia Rio. Do you have to remove the air intake hose to get to it?


Follow the upper radiator hose to where it attaches to the engine.....remove that end of the hose.....the thermostat looks like this:

if the guage goes down when you drive then it is most likely the temp sensor that detects heat and kicks on the fan.
