I have the same car and purchased it with 96 K on it. It was leaking and burning oil. I used Restore when I change the oil it comes in a silver can (looks kinda like a Coors Light can) it helped with the oil leaks & burning. I now have about 190 k on the car and burn about a quart every 3k miles. Try the restore 1st it may be all that you need.

I just installed a used engine in my 1999 Lexus GS 300 and I am starting to see some white smoke . Any help on what the problem might be?

is it on start up only ?
top up water and after day or two of running check to see if using water
white smoke or does it have little bit of blue in it
if it is using water you may have a number of things

When I start my 2003 ES300 smoke comes out the exhaust

The same thing happened to my 2003 ES300 - the smoke is coming from the oil seeping into the motor's cylinders. This is the classic "Oil Gelling" problem in Toyota and Lexus vehicles. There is a factory recall on it, but it only covers to 2002 ES300 not 2003. The Lexus dealer confirmed my "oil gel" problem and went to bat for me with Lexus - they got the repair approved - Thank you Mr Local Lexus Dealer! The cost was nearly $4,000 - paid for by Lexus.

ATF for 1994 Lexus GS 300

I know from experience that you should only use manufacturer recommended fluids in your transmission, Especially toyota, they are very peculiar about the fluids you use in them. Although the fluid you put in it may not cause any harm, it is always best to use the fluids recommended.

Alot of white smoke when i turn the car on more when i accelerate and burnt metal or sweet acid smell 1993 lexus gs 300

If the car is sluggish, it's most likely a catalytic converter based on the information you're providing. Apart from that, white smoke is also an indicator that the head gasket is bad. To check for the head gasket, Start the car and while its running, check the engine oil. If it's frothy and/or you see water beads on the dipstick, this is a good indicator of a bad head gasket. Hope this answers your question. Best of luck.
