I have the same problem with my 1999 Sliverado. Also happens with blowing snow. It's a real pain here in Northern Wisconsin. During the summer I have found if I take the cover off the fuse block which is under the hood and spray the fuse block with WD40 it sometimes helps. With the blowing snow I have no choice but to cover the the entire front of the truck with a tarp and put some major heat into the engine compartment for a couple hours with my salamander.

They sell silicone spray at all autozone stores!! spray your coil and wires with the spray it seals it frome weather!! and install a 110 volt ac plug in your engine block!! the plug goes in your water jacket and keeps the block nice and warm................oh and change your fuel filter... and after you get it running again do a vaccum check on your injection system you can buy or rent a vaccum tool/gauge frome most parts houses,,,, a chiltons manual explains the how toos when doing diagnostics......well hope i helped you some........................

It sounds like you need to replace the spark plug wires.

Gettin fire and i think im gettin fuel but my truck wont start i have replaced rotor bug dist cap plug wires and coil pack what else could it be

shoot some carb cleaner into the intake ( or through a vacuum port) and try to start. If it will run for a second or two then you have a fuel delivery problem. Report back.

Wont start.

If it will turn over check to see if its fuel or fire. To check for fuel, spray quick start for a few seconds into intake. If it starts and stops. its fuel. Change fuel filter and check fuel pump. If it does not start its fire, Could be distributor cap, rotor, coil, spark plug wires or spark plugs. If it does not turn over it could be battery or starter. Check battrey connections, ground strap from motor to body and ground wire from battery to motor and body.

If it rains or is wet out engine turns over but wont fire like its gettin no sparke but if its dry out it fires right up with no problems

Check the cap and rotor. When it's dry out start it at night in a dark spot. If there's a crack in the cap you should see a spark jump. Or the seal on the base is bad. That's a problem I've run into repeatedly with the 4.3 vortec motors. Moisture conducts electricity so the spark is dissipated inside the cap and doesn't know where to go.

I have an 89 gt 5.0 carberated. it will not start and i dont know wat is keeping it from starting. its gettin spark. motor has compression. all the roller rockers are movin. but it wont roll over???

Are you getting fuel? Try pouring some gas down carburetor if it fires check fuel filter and fuel pump for flow.Disconnect fuel line use a glass jar to catch fuel and turn engine over to see if fuel pump is working

2.4 pontiac wont start but cranks over

Do a compression test as a malfunctioning valve can cause back fire through the carbie. Since you have changed all the wires double check you have them in the right order because if they are wrong you could get a backfire.

2002 Chevy Blazer won't start after it rains

Porous ignition wires can do that..especially when they are damp....too much power is lost to ground on the way to the plugs while cranking. as you release the key, power to the starter is cut, supplying a bit more voltage to the coil, not turning quickly enough, the spark pushes the engine backwards a bit.
