If the direction of air thru the vents is not being controlled by the dash control, the problem is usually a blend door stuck or faulty activator.
If the activator is vacuum operated, there could be a vac leak between the dash and the engine.
If the activator uses an electric motor, the motor could have failed, or the device that controls the activator.
The blend doors are behind the glove box.

The blend door in the heater box itself is what directs the air to where it needs to go as per selector switch. The heater box is located under the dash.

SOURCE: I turn my heater on;but I get no air flow threw

are you sure no air comes out anywhere. it should atleast come out of one vent. but if it doesn't you could have a mode door broken or the actuator problem....

SOURCE: Heater and Air conditioner work bur air flows from

There may be a couple of items to look at here.... but the most common problem is a source of vacumn to the pneumatic operation of the heat/a/c vent doors....if vacumn is not distributed properly to the vents you command it is assumed that there is either no vacumn to the selector swith panel(broken vac. line, kinked vac. line, defective in dash a/c control panel) or under the hood a defective vac./heater control valve that is stuck, frozen, not allowing the vacumn to pass through it to supply the indash pneumatic controls and/or panel.
Most vacumn systems that i have ever came in contact with incorporate a vacumn supply tank(nothing more then a round plastic vac. resevoir) which is used in sequence with the a/c heater controls, its purpose is to keep an even vacumn supply to all command points continously while the vehicle is being driven, without this supply one will experience the a/c coming from various different non selected dash vents upon acceleration, this is a direct relation to the tank either being defective(leaking vacumn) or its supply hose(usually vey tiny rubber/plastic tubes) being pinched or broken not allowing the vacumn to the supply tank.
listen for vacumn leaks(hissing sound), look for the obvious...broken vacumn lines or hoses, also check for a defective one way vacumn valve on some pneumatic controlled door vent systems(these valves are inserted in a vacumn line one side being the ""in" port and the other side of it being the "out" flow port, typically if these dont work the vents will also devert your a/c or heat all different ways through your dash.
to check these valves, simply remove from the vacumn hose, and apply vacumn to one side,if vacumn flows through the valve, apply the same vacumn to the opposite side of the plastic valve, if vacumn flows through on the opposite side the valve is bad, it should only allow flow from one side not the other. These valves are small and are usually white or black plastic and look like the old vacumn dash pots used on the old carbureated engines only smaller with one small hose in and one small hose out.

Circuit unit behind the ac controls

sounds like your blower motor has stopped working check for power going to the blower system if you have power the blower is probably bad the concern is the lack of a fuse blowing or a breaker not cycling you may have a harness problem sometimes a low grade short will heat up wires then melt them together causing a multisystem failure even though a fuse or breaker didn't blow check you harness

1996 buick park ave ultra- air conditioner turns on but now air flows through the vents it was working fine! and all of a sudden it stoped

I answered this in a different question but I was assuming the air was not coming out of the right vent.
If the air is not blowing at all, you need to check for voltage at the blower fuse, the blower motor, and the resistor.
If there were a blockage such as a dirty cabin air filter, you should hear the blower running.

The airconditioner in my car works its cool through the floor vents and the vents on the dash but no air is coming through the main air vents ? the car is a vs berlina with climate control ?

I would say that the control unit isnt switching properly, from the mode button moving the vents air flow direction, best bet is to try and swap a mates one and see if the mode changes the airflow to the main vents,it may be the unit isnt allowing the switching,i think theyre vacuum controlled

Have a 2000 Ford Ranger SuperCab, 4.0 4x4 AirConditioner isnt blowing air. Compressor seems as if it is coming on and working properly. Airconditioning unit inside truck sounds Normal (ie: turn fan on,...

I had a problem with my 2000 ranger when I bought it. Air was coming out of defroster vents. Check for a vacuum hose that may be off under the hood. It uses vacuum to open the vents.

When I turn on the air conditioner it is blowing hot air as if the heater were on. Could it be a fuse? It was working fine yesterday.

heater core is going bad my dodge ram truck did the same thing for about three months then steam startedcoming out of the vents it was antifreeze i have not fixed it yet i just bypassed it for now cause its hot and i have to take the dash completly out to get to it, and yes my airconditioner was blowing out hot now immediatly after i bypassed it blows cold again.you have to find where it goes into the motor on both sides so follow the hoses from firewall then buy a 3ft hose to go from one side of motor to the other problem fixed! well that is you wont have a heater until you change the heater core

Airconditioner suddenly stopped blowing cold air while I was driving--blows warm air now

you can get a recharge kit at Auto Zone, the car has to be runnung to fill it. . This is the first thing I would do, to see if it's out of freeon first.

Ask the Auto zone man to come out side and help you refill it. They will help if you ask.

My fan stopped blowing too!! I was worried that my compressor had went out. The mechanic said that the blower had burned out and he charged me 169.00 for the part and 50.00 for labor.

I have a 2004 Pacifica with 58K miles.
