What if my 1995 mitsubishi Eagle talon 2.0 twin cam turbo timing belt is broke , could it be a more complicated fix by it warping the valves , what could happen when the timing belt does break

it is an interference engine which means that when the belt breaks you will need new valves as the stems will be bent
So lots of money and heart ache by replacing the belt and have it done by a professional shop so that the valves are not bent as you try turning the engine over with the belt off

If timing belt rips while car is running will it affect the ingine?

Depends on the car. All Toyota engines are not interference type engines, most others are interference types except a select few. Some of the engines were more forgiving than others. If it' a 2.4 mitsubishi, it's an interference engine, and a broken timing belt will cause bent valves, punching holes in the pistons, and the motor will need to be rebuilt/replaced.

How to remove water pump from a 95 Mighty Max

Assuming it has a 3.0 liter V6 engine, you'll need to remove the front of the engine off including the timing belt. If you are to replace the pump, replace the timing belt with tensioner too.

I hope this may have assisted,
Tom

How do you replace a waterpump in a 1995 Mitsubishi Galant?

All Mitsubishi cars pretty much hide the water pump under the timing belt. You should buy all new belts for the car and if you have 150,000+ miles consider replacing the water pump at the same time. You will have to take off the power steering belt, the alternator belt, the upper belt cover, support the motor, take off the motor mount, jack up the right front corner of the car, take off the front right tire, take off the engine plastic under cover, line up the TDC timing mark, take off the lower pulleys, take off the lower engine cover, observe the timing marks/arrows and highlight with paint, take off the timing belt , counter balancer belt if there is one. take off the water pump belt, and now you can unbolt the water pump, scrape the gasket, and replace it. Now the good news, if you have tools,a compressor, an air gun(for lower pulley bolt), patience , and four to eight hours to kill, you can actually save money and do it your self.

Check engine light- 95 mitsubishi eclipse

OK, the correct interval for the replacement of the timing belt for this model is every 60,000 miles. if the belt hasn't been changed, i would do so asap. it may be to late considering that it has started to rattle.

The timing belt can become damaged before it actually breaks, in return, causing valve timing to shift. this will cause the valves to tap the pistons during the idle.

This will run you about 1100 dollars at the dealership plus, they will also replace any push rods if need.
