Question about 1990 Isuzu Trooper
I just had a new motor installed there is 400 miles on it now the motor runs great has expected power. But it is only getting 8.24 mi. per gal of gas I put a new TBI on it and that didn't do any good other that making my wallet lighter.
Yes, GENTLY break the motor in to about 1k miles after that, change the oil/filters and you will slowly see an increase in your mpg. I had the same problem with mine. Now has 60k on new motor and I get a consistent 20mpg on the hwy. City mileage is about 12.
