There is a relay or somthing in the fuse box, it keeps clicking real loud evertime it clicks the headlights blink. when i turn the car off it stil does this real fast . click, click , click, click . when i pull the headlight switch all the way out it stops it seems like its somthing with the daytime running lights. i looked for a relay in the fuse boxes but theres nothing it sounds like the clicking is coming from behind the fuse box. its switches sides from the driver side fuse box to the passenger. somtimes the highbeam out light comes on the dash, on the little computer screen .
Hi, my name is ricky and im 24 yrs old and from Bronx, N.Y . I bought my 03 impala in 04 and i had the same problem in 2007 in which that clicking noise happens. The headlights flicker, and even the gauges inside the car would flicker at times. It has nothing to do with fuses or a relay, please dont spend money on that b.s. like i did..lol I will try my best to explain what i did so that you can save some money and time. READ EVERYTHING AND USE ADVICE AT YOUR OWN RISK. 1st of all - I went to a junk yard/auto salvage yard to find a USED part that i needed. Often there are good parts from cars that have been totalled. 2nd- What i asked for was a Body Control Module. This controls most of the electric issues you are having and costed me about 50 dollars compared to a new one that was over $200 and reached up to $500. 3rd- I went head first under the steering column and found where the BCM was located. Poke around to find it cause it is def. there, hidden well. It doesnt take special skill to remove it or find it. 4th-Replace the BCM, but be advised that after you do this, your car might not crank over.My car did crank over because i installed a automatic starter previously so i could have started it with the remote start. 5th- you MUST take the car to a chevy shop so they can Program your car to the body control module this costed me about $250. All together this information has to help you in someway. If you have further questions or would like to make a comment, then e-mail me at " email@example.com " I hope this helps...im not saying it is a 100 percent guarantee for you, but i had this same problem recently and this was the answer to my problem. By the way, never buy a american car again or a GM product for that matter...Kudos

On the van you have a high beam fuse and relay. On the low beam you also have a fuse and relay. Check the fuse/relay panel for a blown fuse controlling the low beam lights. If you do not find a blown fuse have some one to turn the key on and turn on the high beam lights> During this time locate the low beam headlight relay and place your finger on top of relay, have the other person to switch from high beam to low beam lights. You should feel a click in the relay when they make the switch from high to low beam. If not replace the relay and the problem should go away. Hope this will help you.
I had a similar problem on my 2001 Caravan. Turned out to be a loose connection between the frame control module and the fuse box. I unscrewed the frame/front control module from the fuse box and bent the tabs slightly to make better contact. Then tighten down the module securley. Need star driver to loosen screws
Check your relay but most of the time it's your light switch that has gone bad. The swithch heat's up after a while and then that when the flickering happens if not stop working. Good luck and hope this helps
:) you already know the answer, its the relay, you will have to replace it. However it isnt under the dash its under the hood. There should be a fuse box, with fuse's and relay's in them. Open the box and you will be able to identify the relay by
1.) its labled 2.) listen to the clicking 3.) touching each one and you will feel a vibration when it clicks.
if you wish you can sub the relay with another one from the same box (be sure its the same kind) to verify it is the relay.
Remove it and buy a new one. Yes you can remove the relay and drive the car, just the lighs wont work :)..
