Flashers are stuck on, didn't turn them on, where is flasher loca
Pulled into a parking lot, all of a sudden flashers came on. I did not turn them on and now they won't shut off. Even if the truck is shut off. Where is the flasher located, I have a 2005 chevy silverado 2500hd 4wd

Recheck your work. Pull the connector off at the flasher and inspect it before plugging it back in. Not much room to work under there in an Excel? Maybe you pulled a wire loose somewhere? Kinda weird, cause the park, tail, and dash lights are all operated by the headlight switch, no relation to the turn signals and flasher relay. Or do you mean the left indicator light on the dash? That would make me think the flasher connection again, or the left side wires up under there. H H, josh...happy ha ha, merry christmas.
Hi there: The flasher relay is high up on the drivers kick panel near the top of the dash . You have to loosen the parking brake pedal assyembly and move it out of the way to gain acces to the flasher.
Some models, the flasher is indeed located above the parking brake. The parking brake needs to be unbolted from the body. 3 nuts on studs hold it on. Top one is impossible to see and must be done by feel. Hard to move away when unbolted.
The flasher is also very hard to pull out of the socket- hard to grab while laying all twisted half out of the car.
Hope this helps; also keep in mind that your feedback is important and I`ll appreciate your time and consideration if you leave some testimonial comment about this answer.
The first thing is to replace the flasher, the 4ways and signals use diffrent flashers, after replacing the flasher or changing it with the 4way flasher and see what happens. if this doesnt help then you may have a bad signal switch, a good trick is to turn on the signal and watch it as you move the lever around, pull back a little or lift it more and pull down a little, sometimes the switch contact goes bad and by moving the lever without take signal off will make it flash and if that happens then the signal switch is bad even if the 4ways work this still means a bad switch, the 4ways are wired through diffrent contacts then each signal, good luck.
it sounds like the flasher unit, if the flashers dont work. or if what i am reading is that the blinker dont work, but parking lights do untill you pull the hazard switch out then it is a faulty turn signal unit would have to replace it..
