Question about 1989 Pontiac Grand Prix
My 89 Grand Prix wont start whenever it rains. The ignition gets wet and it wont start until it dries, (sometimes for days.) IS it a leak or does it need a new ignition?
Hi, your disributer cap must be letting moisture in or it has a hair crack.
REplace it with a new one & also spray some sort of water repellent (WD40) onto the new cap inside & out.
Also smear some grease around the rim of the cap to stop mositure getting in.
This cured a VW that plagued us every time their was either rain or fog.
Also check you rotor arm as well for hair cracks or just replace it with a new one.
