Shifter is stuckin second gear and will notmove at all

On a 1992 isuzu trooper manual trans V6 4x4 my shifter handle is stuck like of to the driver side and back a little the trans is in second gear and will not vhange gears at all the clutchis fully operational i dont know if the shiftermechanism is removable but if someone hasa remdy for this issue oreven anythught on the situation

Try looking at the linkage cable under the car it may have came off, if not check at the actual shifter assembly

does the clutch push normally or is the linkage broken not disengaging clutch, and then does shifter move around or locked and wont move, loose linkage in shifter or gears are jammed inside transmission and something went, if shifter wont move at all then trans is jammed inside and needs repair.

Likely the forks on the shift rail inside the trans are sliding on the shaft or are worn. I believe your unit needs to be removed to check this.

Your shift linkage has come undone. Jack the car up and climb underneath. You shift linkage is either com undone from the trans or you shift stabelize bad has come undone at the shift arm.

Ignition Key Stuck

We had the same problem, with the same diagnosis. It turned out to be that the shifter was not fully forward in the park position!

The mechanics we called said it was the Shifter Interlock Solenoid as well (but an honest mech. actually solved the prob. - by pushing the shifter all the way forward - and didn't charge a dime).
