Altima 2005 squeaking in the rear

The car begins squeaking shortly after beginning to drive. The sound is not consistent but is pretty loud. Sounds like a squeaking and chattering, like something is rubbing on something else. After driving a while, the sound continues even when idling. Actually, when the car is turned off after driving, you can hear a squeak when you slam the door. Thanks for the help!

Chattering is caused by components tooclose to each other. This happens when bushings wear out. Get under there (not whenthe car has been running) and shake the exhaust system and any suspension component to see if you can make it chatter. Then look for why the part is able to move so much.

When i drive the car it squeaks

Sounds like your suspension bushing are going bad. Depending on the age of the vehicle, these parts are made of rubber and wear out. They begin rubbing the metal together and can causing a squeaky sound from usually the front suspension. Might be a good idea to have a respectable alignment shop double check this solution. They can show you exactly what the problem is being caused by. It is pretty much a normal issue with older vehicles to need these rubber suspension parts replaced. They can cause alignments to start wearing tires faster and other steering components to wear out prematurely.

Sounds like it could be low fuel pressure caused by a weak or failing fuel pump. You will need to check the fuel pressure and if its not within the specs replace the pump and filter.

For quite some time now, when I drive over any tiny bump my car squeaks incredibly loud and sounds terrible. It's a 2002 Nissan Altima. Any suggestions?

get a lube job, take a spray can of "armor-all" with you to the lube joint and ask them to spray all the suspension bushings and the strut mounts with the armor-all. if that does not help it you are most likely looking at new strut mounts and struts, they are coming up on 10 years and that is about how long they can be expected to last under ideal conditions. everything wears out, cars and people.

99 Grand Cherokee. Started with locking or binding with loud clunks. After long drive, rear diff was smoking and was replaced. Just drove it and after shifting into all time 4wd and then back to 2wd did it...

Sounds like a bad transfer case. Generally what you experienced is caused by a tire mis-match but can also happen by itself sometimes. GC's use a fluid coupler that is supposed to engage 4wd when tires begin to slip. (coupler is pretty much the same as the mechanical clutch unit on your fan, only larger) If the coupler fails, symptoms like yours happen.
