If you are saying the steering is difficult to turn you could have a blocked hose or a problem in the gearbox.
Or something in the front suspension such as a faulty ball joint.

SOURCE: cna i adjust athe clutch in a 1994 toyota pick-up

The linkage cable before the trans should have an adjustment nut on it. This controls the fork assembly movement. adjust the linkage to remove the pedal free play and this will also tighten the clutch.

How much shaft end play is permissible in a 1994 ford taurus power steering pump? my serpentine belts keeps running off. the only thing that has any discernible end play is the power steering pump.

Next to none, that you should be able to feel

Suspect that the crank shaft damper pulley is worn out

You won't see misalignment but it is there

May have to lower sub frame on one side to get it off

The drive belt broke on my 1994 lincoln mark viii cause of the power steering pump was bad replaced both now it won't shift all the way to drive whats wrong with the transition i broke a synsore on...

You mean the serpentine belt? It should have nothing to do with how the trans shifts-but shut off the air ride switch, jack the car up high on the driver side and look under the center of the car at the trans-there is a 'MLPS' (aka 'neutral safety switch, about $40) that are known to go bad-quite possibly your exact problem.

Can a non powered steering 87 toyota p/u be changed to power stee

It can be done, but you would need to replace the rack and pinion, obtain the power steering hoses, the power steering pump, bracket and belt, from the same year, same motor pick up.

Power steering

It sound's like the power steering pump has gone bad and needs to be replaced, As the pick up truck being 18 years old, you may want to invest in a power steering pump from the salvage yard to save you some money. But if you like to get a rebuilt pump, you can go to Auto Zone and they can get you a steering pump and give you the step by step to replacing the pump. Good luck and hope this helps.
