Question about 2001 Pontiac Sunfire

1 Answer

Heat not working (99 Sunfire)

There is warmth by heat vents but the fan is not blowing it out. All fluids were checked & okay. Could it be a fuse? And where would the fuse be?- I have no owners manual.

Check the "blower" fuse it may be labled as heat. A/C heat, or blower. if it is not the fuse then it is most likley the fan itself, it is located behind the glove compartment, look up under the dash behind the glove box (you may have to remove the lower panel to see) should be three small bolts holding the round base of the fam, unhook the plug and remove the bolts, not very difficult to replace it yourself

NO HEAT. A/C works fine. Air blows but no warmth. blows cold air for front defog and cold air blows when temp cranked high 1-5

warmth comes from the heater in the car
if it is climate control check the climate control module
check for heater control in the vent settings as the hot water tap may not be turning on

My 99 chevrolet monte carlo z34 heat is not that hot and air works for defrost but not dash vents?

check radiator fluid level it take hot radiator fluid to pass through the heater core to produce the heat in your car VIA the fan. also check or replace your thermostat it could be bad and stuck in an open position thus radiator fluid not getting hot, no hot fluid no hot air
the other problem sounds like a duct hose under you dash has come loose locate and reattach.

99 Dodge durango heater not working

The blowers ion the back have there own blower motor. The front has it's own. The resister controls the range the blower motor runs on,( low, medium, high). If the blower motor is not working it may be the motor itself. Was the fuse checked:?

When I turn on the heating system of the car not work is not sending hot air inside the car.

You don't say if the fan is working. If not, check the fuse. If the fuse is okay, check the switch and fan motor to be certain they are okay. If the fan is working, and still no heat (blows cold air), there is something blocking hot water from getting to the heater core. I hope this gives you some help to isolate where your problem is.

No air or heat blowing from vents

if the fan is blowing this could be a problem with the climate controll switch that changes the direction of air from floor to defrost to vents, some are vacuum controlled through a vacuum operated mechanism that opens and closes a door in the vents which redirects the air to different places.

Heater blows cold air from top vents after running for 1.3 hours

Sounds like you may be able to fix it by flushing your antifreeze and back flushing the heater core. Some car owners cheep out and put stop leak into the antifreeze, others dont change there antifreeze at all. Both are mistakes.
