In your solution below you indicate GM is voluntarily repairing head gaskets for the 97 Pontiac Sunfire. Where can I find this information officially to take to my Pontiac service dealer?

Sunfires ****. I had a '96 for two years. You name the problem, and I'll
tell ya that I had it.
$9000 in warranty work done in ONE year.
GM's low level cars really are lemons. The top end ones are really nice
though.
The main problems you may see with a '97 Sunfire will be a leaking head gasket which GM is voluntarily repairing out of warranty, a faulty water pump which will end up putting coolant into your 2.4DOHC and over time will destroy it.
