For left right you use and allen wrench on top of the light housing. Up and down is a knob on the back of the housing.

SOURCE: 2003 volvo s60, how do i adjust headlights

The adjustment screws/nuts should be located either on the top of the headlamp assembly, behind the headlamp assembly, or near the frame rail by the radiator support.

You will have vertical adjustment screws for each independent beam (separate highs and separate lows, but will be same screw if highs and lows are the same bulb). You may also have additional horizontal adjustment screws as well

Park your car on a level ground 30 feet from a wall and measure the height from the ground to the bulb and mark on a wall (do this for highs beams and low beams if the bulbs are separate, if highs and lows are the same bulb, only do it for the lows)

For Low Beams: If the headlights read VOR, then aim the brightest part or cutoff part just below the mark on the wall. If it says VOL or nothing, aim them 2 inches below the mark on the wall.

For High Beams (if separate from low beams): Aim the headlight directly at the line you marked on the wall.

The most common problem is either the blower motor or the speed control resistor. Both items can be accessed by removing the glove box and panel below it.

Replace headlamp 1998 V70

If you're talking about just the bulb, it's very easy and will require no tools. If you're talking about the whole headlight assembly, that's pretty easy, and I believe all that is required is a 10mm socket, and maybe an extension. If I remember correctly there's 3 bolts that hold it in place. Be careful when removing the assembly as the side marker assembly tabs into the headlight assembly, and it's pretty common to break 15 year old brittle plastic tabs. Install the new assembly and adjust it as best you can until you can get it aligned professionally.

I have a Volvo and my headlights do not work...I have checked the fuses and the bulbs. What else can i do to fix this? The brights work but no daytime rinning lights or low beams.

Our Volvo's have a headlight switch for manual or automatic - mine is set that the all the lights and fog lamps come on after the car starts. - check the switch to the left of the steering wheel.
