Could be your ignition switch, first make sure you have power going from your battery to the starter, check at the starter for 12.5 volts then make sure starter has its ground, if that isnt it test the ignition cause thats probably what it is.

Doesn't start and make a click noise

1 Check battery connections for tightness and make sure battery isn’t flat.
2 could be the starter motor has jammed if the car is manual gearbox put car into 1st or 2nd gear and with the ignition off rock the car forwards and backwards if you hear a clunk noise the starter motor has released itself and should start.
3 if above fails it’s likely to be a solenoid problem on the stater motor and will need to be replaced.
Hope this helps you
Colin

2002 Mitsubishi Montero won't start. Replaced the starter and fuel pump and filter.

Does vehicle engine turn over. If yes, then pay attention to fuel system. Check for good power and ground at fuel pump connector. If no power check fuel pump fuse, relay and for open wires (power, ground) to fuel pump.

Starter wont engage after replacing dead battery

Check power to starter motor solenoid, solenoid operation and starter motor voltage during cranking. If the starter motor is receiving power from the solenoid, but isn't cranking, then replace the starter motor.

Also check the condition of battery terminals, wiring and connections. Also check the earth wire from the body to the engine.

My 1995 Lincoln Town Car will not turn over and start. I checked the relays but do not know which one is bad.

You have no relay to your starter motor. If the starter motor isn't cranking, then first check the battery voltage. It should be around 12.5 volts.
When you crank with the lights on, then do they dim considerably? That's usually a sign of a week battery.
If when you crank, you hear no click of the starter motor solenoid, then that could be your issue.
If you hear a click, but no cranking, then that's likely the starter motor itself which could be faulty, but do check the condition of the battery leads and connection to the starter motor assembly.

MY PLYMOUTH GRAND VOYAGER 'S HEADLIGHT'S AND DASH LIGHTS WORK, BUT THE ENGINE WON'T TURN OVER. THERE IS NO SPARK COMING FROM THE ELECTRICAL WIRES.

When you say no spark, are you talking about the spark plugs, or just the general wiring?

If the engine won't turn over, then it isn't moving, and if it isn't moving then you need to check the following in this order:

1) Does the battery have power i.e. around 12.4 volts or over? No? Charge, test or replace battery.

2) Do the car's head lights dim considerably if turned on when attempting to crank? Yes? Possible lack of battery charge or faulty battery.

3) Assuming the battery is fine, can you turn the dash warning lights on and off with the key? No? Faulty ignition switch.

4) Is there a click sound when you turn the key, but no starter motor spin? Check starter motor connections or replace starter motor.

If none of the above prove to be of help, then please report.

PUT NEW STARTER IN BUT ENGINE WONT TURN OVER

1) Low battery, not enough juice.

2) Starter housing dirty, and engine block area where it connects to. Starter gets ground off of the engine block. (Negative connection) Positive connection from battery goes to solenoid. Clean starter, and engine area where it mounts.

3) Brushes for starter are completely worn down. The click you hear/heard, is one of the last it will make before the brushes are changed.

Test the starter off of the car with jumper cables, and a small jumper wire for the solenoid. Starter works you know it isn't the problem.
