Question about 1989 Dodge Raider
A few weeks ago, I was driving home when all of a sudden the truck died, no warning, just shut off. Then I couldn't start it for an hour or so. So I had it towed home. Now when I go out and start it, it runs fine until it warms up. Then it just dies instantly. When I go to restart it, it won't start. I'll go back an hour or so later and it will start, warm up then die. Can you help me? I have replaced the plugs, wires, distributor, brain, basically everything. It is like I am getting no spark to the coil.
If you are getting power to anything else (such as the interior light) then this isn't your fix but, I had a similar issue where by 88 Raider ran fine but then would quit. I tested the battery and it was fine. However, the connectors for the battery were bad and weren't holding tight. I found it by pushing on the battery and one of the terminals just lifted off. Lucky is better than good sometimes.
