Sometimes you will have antifreeze in oil...if you look at spark plugs one or more will look real clean or whiteish color... the best way to tell is do a comperssion check. all the clyinders should be the same about 180 lbs.if one is lower than rest can be a sign of a bad head gasket.... hopes this helps....

Why is my 1989 Toyota Cressida overheating?

sounds like you have a head gasket gone bad. these cause overheating and the compression gases cause the air in the system and to boil out of the system. as such will cause the heater not to blow hot air, as steam will contain heat very long. the white smoke upon start up is a tell tale sign that the gasket has blown and needs replacement. have a head gasket test done. it could also be a cracked head or even a block, but head gaskets are a problem.

1999 ford ranger once it drive an it beomes hot u turn it off try to restart turn nothing happens

You just blew the head on the engine and head gasket as well as possible freeze plug(s). There is test kit that can be built with deep purple die that will turn yellow as it heats up and that means your in deep problems. I could tell you how to fix it for less than $75 as long as you did not blow the freeze plugs. Pour Head Gasket sealer liquid into radiator that runs about $45 and then after running for a bit then install radiator rust prohibitor. It should stay much much cooler. If the head is to far gone then the more expensive head job has to be done. The head has to be machined and then re-installed with new gasket.

89 f250 overheated and stalled 3 times. I replaced thermostat and water pump. Looks like water got in my oil as ists foamy and over filled. Truck will turn over and tries to fire but wont start

Sounds like your head gasket has gone bad. you may have noticed white smoke comeing out of the exhust. do not run this engine without changeing the oil or you will destroy the engine, and if the head gasket is leaking it will dump water or antifreeze into the oil again.you can take a compression check on the engine to tell you what head gasket is bad.

Hi, check you have heat coming out the heater in the car put it on hottest setting and see what happens if it comes out cold then the chances are the head gasket has gone and is pushing gasses into the coolant system causing an air lock and then over heating.

check the oil for signs of a white substance look on the oil level stick and also inside the oil filler cap if their is any signs of milky substance then this is proof head gasket has gone.

let me know what you find out ok

HEAD GASKET GONE AFTER 12000 MILES

When a h/gasket it done it is usually required to come back in after 1000k,s to be retensioned.A modified gasket is mainly fitted IF the head was shaved or reconditioned.Did they say to bring it back in for the head to be retensioned after the initial fitting? If not,it is their fault. It is the same as a new car.It requires the head gasket to be retensioned after 1000k,s.All cars are the same.Hope this helps you

your head gasket is gone or the block is cracked...stop driving it now or you will cause more damage...you need to take it to a gradge if your not 100% sure that you can take on the job yourself.... you will need all the proper tools and tourque specs and the knowage of how to do motor jobs... if you lack any of these then take it to the shop and have them do it for you....you will have the timing belt off ..you may not need a new head quite often they can plane the head if its warped

The only sure fire way to tell if the head gasket is gone is to do a compression test. If you are not familiar with how to do a compression test it would be best to have a friend that does know how to do so or take it to a professional.

From your descriptions, it seems likely that could be the issue as if the head gasket goes, you will run hot if not overheat and it will be difficult for the engine to run and when it does there most definitely be smoke out the exhaust.
