Question about 2005 Ford Expedition

1 Answer

2005 Ford Expedition stopped working yesterday

Worked fine when I arrived at work, wouldn't turn on after leaving work. Tried all fuses that are listed in the owners manual for the radio, CD changer, DVD, etc. and all are good. Not sure where to turn next.

We have been having this same problem for the last couple of years. Everytime we took it to Fort they told us that it was some "stupid" security thing.... Since then, this problem has increased. Something continuously keeps draining the battery... Half the time the key won't turn over to even start the engine....

Cigarette lighter jack and outlet next to console no longer work. 2005 ford expedition.

Have you tried putting the key into the ignition and turning it to just before the start
position? Some vehicles do not operate the accessory jack with out the key in the
accessory (back) or just before the start position. If it still doesn't work, look for the fuse
marked ACC in the fuse panel. Hope this helps.

2005 expedtion wont start

you may have a bad fuel pump, sit in car turn key on and listen for a whine noise (fuelpump) or you can hook a fuel gauge to valve on injector rail and test fuel preasure.

Ford expedition yr'00 headlight not working checked fuses..

The low beam headlamps have a seperate fuse for each lamp in the central or underdash fuse panel.
The right headlamp is fuse fuse 26 (10amp) and the left is fuse 28 (10 amp). These fuse are hot only when headlamps are on so you need to test them with a test light with headlamps on. If they do not have power to them then concern is either headlamp switch or daytime running lamp relay if your vehicle is equipped with this feature, or a bad multifunction switch.
Power leaves the headlamp switch on the RD/YE wire and goes to multifunction switch. It leaves multifunction switch on the other RD/YE wire The wire will then go thru either a connector c2003 located behind the passenger side air bag behind the dash or to the DRL relay if your vehicle has this feature and leaves there on RD/BK wire to the headlights .
