IT IS FLASHING A TRANSMISSION CODE OR LETTING YOU KNOW THE TRANS. SYSTEM HAS DETECTED A FAULT IS IT DRIVING DIFFERENT IF SO YOU MAY WANT YOUR LOCAL SHOP WETHER DEALER OR INDEPENDENT LOOK AT IT MAYBE CHECK TRANSMISSION FOR DTC DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES UNLESS YOU HAVE THE ABILITY TO DO THIS YOURSELF
If you mean the D4 light, blinking means that your computer believes there is a problem with the systems controlling your transmission. Your computer probably has codes related to the problem. You should connect an OBDII code reader or scanner to your DTC port (somewhere under your dashboard) and read the codes. If you don't know what I'm talking about, Autozone, or a place of the same sort, will connect their code reader and gets the codes for you without charge.
Hope this gets you started on finding out the problem.
