Question about 1999 Saturn SL

Please Help... p0404 and p0137 Error Codes (1999 Saturn SL1)

P0404 exhaust gas recirculation control circuit range/performance
p0137 02 circuit low voltage (bank 1, sensor 2)

I just replaced the 02 Sensor in front of the catalytic converter, but these codes continue to trigger my engine light. I think that the p0137 code is for the O2 sensor that's behind the catalytic converter, but I'm not 100% sure. Anyways, are these two codes related? Is this an electrical problem or do I need to replace my EGR and other O2 sensor? Does someone know the solution to this problem?

Note: It's a 1999 Saturn SL1, the website would not let me select the proper model year.
EGR circuit range/performance
Idle control system rpm higher than expected

How can I fix myself? Where can I find diagrams and repair instructions free?

All there is on the net in most cases are code definitions, u need a live data scan tool to see if these parts are defective or there are other issues causing, just because a certain sensor has a code DOES NOT MEAN IT IS DEFECTIVE.

Hey if you truely think it is your egr valve unhook it and if that is the problem then when it is unhooked it should run better and the codes should not come up. hey if you cahnged the 1 o2 sensor and not the other you probably made the code for the one u repalced come up again. i would recommened that you change both of the o2 sensors at the same time. try checking if your catalatic convert is plugged. how you do this is take a dollar bill and hold it at the end of your tail pipe while it is idleing and if the dollar bill stays still you have a plugged catalatic converter.

My 02 grand am gt is acting up engine light is on went to autoparts store to get it checked out it threw codes p1404, p0404 and p0300 i already changed the egr valve twice and it wont help can someone plz...

code p0404 refers to Exhaust gas recirculation system (EGR)--range performance problem--- causes---hose leakage--wiring---EGR valve/solenoid
code p0300 refers to random/multiple cylinder/s ---misfire detected.---causes---spark plugs---ht leads---injectors--ignition coils---low compression ---wiring. Remember it is best to use genuine sensors/solenoids as the cpu is set to them. Try changing the egr solenoid

1998 Chevy Truck 1/2 ton 350 engine. Trouble codes P0404, P0405 and P1404. I replaced the EGR valve. Now I get t/c P0404 and P0405. Now what should I check?

404 is exhaust gas recirculation circuit, and 405 is exhaust gas recirculation sensor circuit low. EGR sensor or ground?

Check engine light

P0404 Exhaust Gas Recirculation Circuit Range/Performance
P0405 Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor A Circuit Low
I would check out the sensors on the EGR line.
A chilton manual at the auto parts store should show you how to test the sensors along with the test values. It should run about $20

Disgnostic code meaning

P0404 Exhaust Gas Recirculation Control Circuit Range/Performance
P0405 Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor “A” Circuit Low

It sounds like you have a failure of the EGR valve.
