No fusiable link , reg. fuse's located in the under hood fuse / relay box.H/LP low 15 amp fuse also Headlamp relay low . Both high an low headlamps not working ? H/LP (high) fuse 15amp plus HEADLAMP RELAY (high) . Should be marked on the inside of the lid !
Completely dead is usually:
a corroded battery cable near the connectors, -cut off corroded end & refasten or replace cable.
a loose or in adequately tightened terminal connector, -replace terminal or cable
bolt off starter motor, -replace or repair bolt.
battery plates out of alignment, -replace battery tray \, hold downs & battery.
A blown fuse is rarely the problem.
Good luck.
by slamming down the bonnet makes the light work indicates a loose bulb or a bad/loose earth in the system. Check that the bulb is tight under the fitment springs that hold it in the reflector and that the earth wires are making good contact on the bulb and where it earths out
It won't be a "Short" if the fuses don't blow.
You state the Wipers don't work, then further down you say they do, makes it hard to give advise if you're not accurate.
Without seeing the vehicle, I'd be leaning towards a loose Earth connection somewhere.
Hi ,Check the light bulb, see if its seat in the seats properly 'for earth' and the light terminals for dirts ,grease,or corrosion.clean if needs to.I think its a Earth problems
if you have H4 headlight bulbs ( with 3 pins) looking at them from the front of the vehicle the pin on the right hand side of the bulb is earth, the center one is low beam & the one on the left hand side of the bulb is high beam, if you are still unsure use a test light to check......hope this helps.......cheers.
I also having this problem with my Hyundai elite I20. My head light is also blew up 4 time in a year & finally gave my car to my nearest Hyundai dealer. They check out the problem and put my headlight for free as I was having warranty. Now my headlights are working good and hadn't replace the bulb since a year.
This was my experience, as you have Hyundai Sonata , either you should check out your nearest Hyundai dealer or here I am attaching you a video if you want to alone solve out this problem/issue of head light.
