Thank you for your quick response. I now understand whats going on with my original key. The problem is, when I contacted the Tow Company about the problem they stated, by law they have to make a new key when recovering a vehicle, however, they didn't use it, which was a lie. In otherwords, we didn't cause this problem. A dealership, I know will want to charge a fee for reprogramming my key and reprogramming my radio they caused to stop working. I don't think its fair. Thank you
-   i have a 1996 ford thunderbird that the keys were lost to do i have to get someone to come out and reprogram a key or can i just take the switch to a lock smith and have a key made to crank this car? -   kmcreasy
I hear ya there. They will deny deny deny so they wont have to pay. This is a very sticky situation since the Towing Company does by law have to make a new key. I would say just to bite the bullet on this one and take it to the stealership and get everything back to normal. I know this is unfair to you as the victim here, but its also going to be the faster and easier way to get back to normal. Good Luck to you. If there is anything I can do to help let me know.

I have a 2000 Mercedes C230 Kompressor. During the warranty period I got the speedometer changed as the all the digits used to crack and could not see the numbers nor the time. It worked for another 20000kms and started again specially during cold days the digital number cracks. When the car is warmed for about an hour the full figure shows. Is there a remedy for this.
