When turning my 1998 Lincolon Navagator i here a grinding sound.A

Yes when truning my 1998 Lincolon navigator i here and feel a grinding sounding and feel in steering wheel,.can you help me?Do you think the steering box need to be grease,if so how do you do that.

    it does not have a steering box

    Can you feel it turning both ways? Sure it's not rust on outer edge of front rotors?

If you feel it in steering wheel it could be your front axels. jack up the front end of your vehicle and turn the steering wheel to which ever way you hear it most, roll the wheel with your hand and see if you hear any noise maxwellgarland@bellsouth.net

disconnect the battery wait a min then try it this should reset the car.if that's not it let me know what the car is doing when you turn the key example lights dim no sound ,lights don't dim no sound if their is a sound what kind
