My 2000 Town & country does the same thing.

I did all the leak-down and pull-the-fuses diagnosos to no avail.

Then one day I noticed the left front parking light was on very dim. Everything was "off". I took out the headlight and parking lite to get access to the wires. When I touched the test light from the parking light positive wire to ground, I heard a "click" over toward the right side of the car, either under the hood or under the dash, and the dim parking light went out.

I am convinced that is why my battery went dead occasionally. Now I'm looking for which module controls the parking lights. When I find out, it will be replaced. Otherwise, this is a fantastic car. All wheel drive and a foot of snow last nightv - - no problem!

Hello you can remove the possitive battery cable and hook one end of a test light to the cable end then the other end to the battery. If the light comes on then there is somthing drawing voltage and make sure everything is off when doing this test .Now to narrow down where it is drawing from . Start removing fusses from the fuse box one at a time and puting back in watching the test light when the light goes off you know where the problem is .

The Chrysler voyager has sat on the drive for a couple of weeks and now won't start, totally dead. When we tried to jump start it started sparking and smoking as soon as they were connected to the...

Look inside the voyager and make sure that everything is turned OFF... Since the battery was completely dead there could be something that was left on and this is creating a big load when you try to connect the jumper cables.

Double check your polarity on the jumper cables and try again.. If you have the same problem, I would suggest disconnecting the voyager battery and trying to charge it with the van disconnected. Batteries can do some strange things.. Best of Luck to you..

New battery goes dead after 3 or 4 days. Alternator is new.

You need to check for a draw. You can do this by disconnecting the negative cable and putting a test light in between the battery and cable.

Battery goes dead after a couple days. was told it could be anti-lock break module...how hard and expensive are these to replace

Your battery going dead every couple days has absolutly nothing to do with your anti-lock break module. (unless it is causing a short or something and staying on-which i doubt.) Have you ever thought that maybe the battery may be dead and old and need replacing. you should test to see how strong the battery is first with a volt meter or load tester. batterys go dead all the time- more so this time of year where it starts to get cold out. If your battery is new or just got it. (usuaslly 2 or 3 years you should be fine). - it may be your alternator isnt charging the battery anymore. Make sure all dome lights are off when the doors are closed. or that nothing else is left on

Chrysler voyager wont start

hi, have exactly the same problem on a 2000 2.5 tdi, have rectified it by removing first fuse at top of box. This controls central locking, stereo & interior lights so now I just have to trace fault. when you reconnect battery I hear a relay clicking from both the left & right hand sides which seems to be on the bulkhead, these relays are not releasing and are discharging the battery after 3 days. If you can live without the above try it, your odometer light will go off too.
Will post soultion when I find it. pubredfox@gmail.com
