SOURCE: blazer wont crank after hard or lengthy rain

sounds like your distrubuter cab is cracked and allowing moisture in it which won't let it crank. if it happens again blow it out with an air compressor, and try to start it again, if it starts arter blown out, then it needs to be replaced.

SOURCE: 2000 blazer turns over wont crank

you coul remove the # 1 plug wire (1st on drivers side) and see if your getting a spark. It may need a new distributer cap and rotor.or it just may need new spark plugs. fair warnig I am not a mechanic but have had similar problems like this that I have had to fix myself.

Truck start up run great couple minutes then shut off let set few minutes then crank up run great 30 second shuts down like you cut key off let set few minutes crank right back run fine then dose same

Sounds like it is running out of fuel. Maybe a bad fuel pump, or clogged filter. If it is carbureted, a stuck float valve or clogged float valve might be the problem.

1990 Oldsmobile toronado will not crank

If your check engine light is on get it scanned. If not pull the camshaft sensor and make sure the magnet is still in place on the cam shaft. You might need to crank it once or twice to turn the camshaft.

2004 gmc sonoma why does it take 2-3 times cranking before it starts and only does it sometimes?

install pressure gauge and watch when key is turned off to see if pressure drops to zero if so bad drain back valve in fuel pump replace it or deal with it or could be cheap aftermarket pump and has hard time building unnecessary pressure to open poppet valves between before fuel injectors

My 88 will crank but at times will not start. if left to sit for a while will start then runs great. the fuel pressure is good any ideas

It happens to my 93 Integra but mostly when the car is sitting in the sun or when the weather is hot. What works sometimes, is to step on the gas pedal down to the floor and start the car at the same time. Other times, I wait a few minutes and then do the same thing.
