When I accellerate in my audi a6 2002 is stutters a little bit until i get to about 50mph and it rides smooth? What is the problem?

Very likely a bad ignition coil bit could be as simple as a foouled spark plug. Try to get access to a VAG-COM diagnostic tool, or take it to a shop that can check the fault codes and figure out which cylinder is misfiring.

02 focus 1.6 zetec se has devolped a missfire/shudder at 2 or 3 positions on accelleration in all gears but is fine once speed is steady

You should do a diagnostic with a scan tool first.

Probably an ignition coil problem. Replace it and replace also the spark plugs.

Just had a very similar problem. The cause: wiring harness scrapes against the vibrating engine and wears the insulation off the wires causing shorts. In my case, this happened at the point where the wiring harness goes around the back side of the valve cover. There are some studs there that love to eat away at the wiring harness. This causes the computer to go spastic.

My 1998 pontiac bonneville se skakes when the fans turn on, is it a belt or something???

Hi, does it just shudder a bit and then go away or does it always shudder when the fans are on. When the engine fan comes on it draws enough amps to put a load on the engine. It is common that you feel a slight shudder as they engage but it should smooth out.

there was an old technical service bulletin for driveline launch shudder on these vehicles. it involves the viscous clutch pack (inside your transfer case) binding. they have a "new" fluid out that addresses this concern. this tsb is about 8 years old now as i recall it. you can se your local chevy dealer and ask for "advance trac" transfer case may need to flush it out twice and drive for up to 500 miles before noticing a difference...good luck

Noisy engine idle and stutter at low or high speed

I had the same problem (X-type 2.0d 2004). The stutter was cured on mine by getting the ECU fashed with the latest firmware. This is a known problem and the update does cure it (£28), I didn't bother with all the tests the garage wanted to.
The noisey engine at idle is the alternator belt. It resonates at idle and causes the noise, There is a modified bottom pulley, tensioner and belt kit, but it is rather expensive ~£200 plus fitting (around 4 hours labour). Mondeo's have the same problem but that kit doesn't fit the Jag.
Hope this helps
