Question about 2002 Chevrolet TrailBlazer
There have been 3 times in the last 4 months the radio sound has stopped working. The vehicle has approximately 71000 miles and has no other problems. The radio then all of a sudden turns back on. Is this an electrical probelm worth taking in or not
the security on the radio has been tripped you need to take it to a GM dealer and have them run a code to unlock it CAL means calibrate

you should take it to your local garage or dealer and have them hook it on a computer that would be cheaper in the long run for you because from what you are describeing it could be a list of things.

I have a strong feeling that the head unit "radio" has finally gone bad. You describe a situation, in which you have to turn it on and off, to get it to work. Typically if the sound comes out of all speakers, after doing that, then the speakers were never broken. The head unit itself should be replaced. I hope this helps.

if you have installed a new cd player in there then the propblem could be that your speaker wires and either touching each other or grounding them selfs out.. pull of the cd player and check to make sure all the speaker wires are covered properly and no bare wires are exposed.. if you still have a factory cd player in it then you will probably need to take it to a dealership to have it checked out..
