Re: Looking For the ECU on a 2002 2500hd
The Single Board Engine Controller (SBEC) or Powertrain Control Module (PCM) is located in engine compartment, to the left of the battery. For more details, refer to Section 4 .
If equipped with the A604 automatic transaxle, the transaxle control computer is located in the right front of the engine compartment, mounted to the inside of the fender. For more information, refer to Section 7 .
The body control computer, if so equipped, is located inside the passenger compartment, behind the right side kick panel.
The Anti-lock Brake System (ABS) control computer is located depending on the year of the vehicle as follows:
1988-90: The Bosch III ABS controller is located behind the rear seat bulkhead trim panel in the trunk.
1991-95: The Bendix Type 10 ABS controller is located under the battery tray.
1992-95: The Bendix Type 6 ABS controller is located on the inner right-hand fender in the engine compartment.
If the vehicle is equipped with automatic load leveling or automatic air suspension, the control computer is located behind the right side trunk trim panel. ..... hopes this helps......

this sort of problem is difficult owing to the complexity of modern vehicles and i would suggest you take it to a dealer as without my head under the bonnet its very difficult ,you have changed the regular items that could cause it so its possible you have a malfunctioning ECU fault and without the correct software to read the problem then no chance
There are 11 electronic control units(ECU) located in the dash area. They are as follows.
Engine + trans. ecu. behind right side of the dash.
Abs + traction ecu. beside the engine ecu.
electric mirror ecu. behind upper right side of dash.
SRS ecu. behind dash at console.
Shift lock ecu. in center console near shifter.
Power seat ecu. under drivers seat.
progressive power steering ecu. behind left dash left of column.
Steering column tilt + telescopic ecu. behind left dash above column.
Anti-theft ecu. behind far left of dash.
Cruise control ecu. just below the anti-theft ecu.
My guess is you are looking for the engine ECU but you may be
looking for 1 of these in the future. Hope this helps.

Hi, I'm not at all familiar with your vehicle, however I had a similar stressful experience with a Smart car. I looked everywhere for a cannister filter when it is in fact a paper insert. Try looking for possibly a largish black plastic domed top with a huge 24mmish sized bolt head on its top. Ask your local parts supplier what type of filter is listed for your model? Hope this helped? if yes please press the blue button for my FREE effort! Paul 'W' U.K.
