How many miles are on the vehicle? How often has the transmission fluid been changed? How many miles ago was the transmission fluid changed? Most likely it needs a fluid change. usually this can be caused by the torque converter or the bands in the transmission. Also check the fluid level to make sure there is no leak. Once I have more information I can give further suggestions. Please take a moment to accept and rate my solution accordingly.
Thank you,
Lee

My 2005 chevy impala started jerking and then it wouldnt chnage gears unless i press the gas all the way to the floor is it the transmission?

no on 05 chevy the transmisson shift is control by vacume look for a vacume line that is dry rooted or has come off start at the engine first then work the way down to the transmisson. a line off or dry rotted any where in the syastem will give you a hard shift sometiimes like a hard jerking motion when
shifting.

Where is the transmisson fluid stick to check it?

its on the drivers side right behind the radiator or just to the left of the battery. the dipstick is usually yellow, sometimes it can red,it should be checked when the engine is hot and in neutral. and the eng must be running.

There could be several but It should have 100,000 mile warrenty on the drive train so take it to the dealer Your truck is notthe first one I have seen on here with this problem and always assumed it was a transmisson problem. I ned to know how they know it's not the transmisson? did they remove the shift lingange offf the transmisson and see if it would shift thru the gears ? Also Ford has it's powertrain control module mouned in the transmisson so this does not seem right to me, ask them if they took the linkage off and tested the control module and get back to me.

97 yukon 4wd. Jerks and makes noise like its

Hi amberdawn_84

My 97 yukon did the same thing (I believe). The valve body in the transmisson wears out (design problem) and causes the transmission to shift really hard. My repair was about $500 (nondealer).
LOVE MY YUKON!

CODE DTC HUNDAY ACCENT 2001

Hello there! Here is a break down of the majority of the codes you posted and an explanation.
First of al the P1402 + P1403+ P0441 are all connected.
P1402- DMTL Motor Circuit
P1403- DMTL Valve
P0441- Gross evaportive emissons leak (of the least concern of all codes)
P1402 +P1403 are both in connection with the Charcoal canister. Generally over fueling a vehicle cause these codes. Hyundai's are particular prone to this issue due to emissons control locations. Simply put a DTML is a sensor. There is 2 of these particular ones on your car. One mounted at the engine and one connected to the throttle body. Fuel more than likely has contaminated the charcoal canister. If only one of the codes were set i'd assume it was just a wiring issue. More than likely the canister and solonoid need to be replaced. Obviously checking the wiring should be done first. Corrison or a broken wire also could cause these codes to trip.
P1632- Transmission Temp Pull-Up Resistor issue. I am not a Hyundai Tech so I don't have allot of experiance with there transmisson codes. However the same code with same function is listed on the F-body site(GM). I would correct the other 3 and go from there. I assure you that poor engine performance would definately cause transmisson issues, especially with the shift points. Especially with a transmisson like yours that is totally electrically controlled. Please let me know if any of this makes more sense. If need be I can elborate more.
