YOUR RANGE SENSOR IS BAD! IT WILL BE A BLACK BOX LOCATED ON TOP OF THE TRANSMISSION! THERE WILL BE A NUT ON TOP OF IT, AND A PLUG GOING INTO THE SIDE OF IT! IT TELLS THE COMPUTER WHAT GEAR YOUR IN, SO THE COMPUTER CAN COMPENSATE FOR THE SPEED AND TELL THE TRANSMISSION TO SHIFT!

What are the exact code numbers If they are PO156 and PO161 They are engine codes related to fuel delivery. Each hundred (PO100/PO200/PO300 ect) has a different area of engine or transmission management assigned to it. There are P codes (Powertrain) B codes (Body and gem module) also C codes (Traction Control) and U (Air Bag systems) listed in Alldata for your vehicle. The only set that has 156 or 161 are P codes. All the others (b-c or u) are 4 didget codes. There are 4 O2 sensors in all 2 before the converters and 2 after. The descriptions for PO156 and PO161 are related to the downstream O2 sensor (after Cat.) on the exaust from the front head of the engine.
PO708 is one of the codes for the range sensor so all of them would be in the 700's.
