If you put it under the hood, that means to the battery which will make it hot all the time. Find a fuse, such as the radio fuse that only runs when the car is on, and hook the wire to that fuse.

Testimonial: "Jenna, thank you for your responce to my problem. The radio is a good idea but the fuse box is under the dash I am having a hard time finding a way thru the fire wall. Also the fuse box is very hard to gain access to. That is why I was hopeing for something under the hood. I will see about making a conection at the radio. Thank you again for your help, Tom"

SOURCE: 98 lincoln town car flashers, turn signals, brake lights don't work

check the outputs on the multi function switch (t/s switch) the brake lights and flashers all go threw this switch try to wiggle the flasher button if the lights start to work then the switch is bad to replace switch remove bottom cover by pedals if it has one bottom cover on steering colum has i beleave 4 screws that hold it on, the tilt colum lever unthreads and the cover will come off the upper colum just clips on you will have to remove the key tumbler to get it off . you need to disconnect the battery at this point and block the wheels. to get tumbler out put key in and turn to run postion there is a small silver button that pushes in with small screwdriver once its pushed in use the key to pull tumbler out the top cover will now come off you will probably have to tilt colum down and shift to 1 to get cover off there are 2 torx head screws that hold switch on plug new switch in and reconnect battery to test lights unhook battery again and reassemble please let me know how you make out

It likely has a bad temp control actuator for the blend door.

Nah, no msjor wire storms. If your lights are flashing, then I doubt its the flasher. It is more than likely your ABS system cycling. hAVE YOUR WHEEL SENSORS CK'D / ADJUSTED FIRST. gOOD lUCK.

I have a 1994 Lincoln Town Car that has problems more than once with having oil leaks from the oil filter housing seal.

Question edited for typo.
Question moved to sub category.

My first thought was "are you oiling the gasket on the oil filter when you install it"? The rubber gasket needs to turn and seat.

However, it is a documented issue.

When i leave the amp for the radio plugged in for my 1994 lincoln town car it kills the battery within a day

the obvious answer is to not plug it in, or to unplug it before you turn the car off. the only fix is to connect it to a power source which is disabled when the ignition is turned off. pretty much everything in the car is that way, except the clock and the anti-theft and door lock stuff.

sorry to tell you but most mileage boosters don't work, i have studied these at lenght, even if it worked it takes more energy separate the water into hjydrogen and oxygen than you can recoup in the combustion process since most of the energy will be wasted in heat, your best bet is to lighten the vehile as much as possible, avoid the use of ac at lower speeds, keep the tires well inflated and avoid aggressive driving

I Just got a Lincoln Town car and its really low to the ground. Do you think its gonna save me money to go with a conversion kit?

LOL, I was just talking about this to a friend of mine. My mother's 1994 LTC dropped low and we figured it was the air bags. After pricing them we decided to try and find a better solution. We ended up converting the car over to coil springs. Strutmasters had a really great site so we decided to go with their company. My brother installed the product himself and we didn't even have installation fees. IT was quick, simple, and worth it for sure!!!!! Check them out on the web

How to remove the passenger door and replace it with another door on a 1994 lincoln town car.

Removal & Installation
NOTE Two people are needed to remove and install the doors.

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Detach the necessary wiring connectors.
  3. Matchmark the door hinges to the body. This will aid in alignment when installing the door.
  4. With an assistant supporting the door, remove the hinge retaining bolts and remove the door.

NOTE If you are using a jack or similar tool to support the door, be careful not to damage the paint.

  1. If the door is to be replaced, transfer the following components to the new door if in usable condition: trim panel, watershield, outside moldings, clips, window regulators and door latch components.
To install:
  1. With an assistant positioning the door, install and partially tighten the hinge bolts.
  2. Align the door and tighten the bolts to 19–25 ft. lbs. (25–35 Nm).
  3. Attach the necessary wiring connectors and connect the negative battery cable.
