It is an EVAP problem and may be the solenoid for venting the canister.

I have a 2005 Chevy 1500 4wd four door silverado and the airbag light came on and it has never been in an accident what could it be

Any component of the airbag system can have a miscommunication or bad connection with the wiring that leads to the module. The module is probably fine if it's detecting a problem and alerting the driver through the airbag light.

If the car hasn't deployed the air bag and it's never been in an accident, corrosion on the connections in the bumper area could have occurred, or a break in the wiring somewhere has caused this error to come to the driver's attention.

2005 Chevy Silverado 1500 LS, Speedometer dial

The motor behind the gauge is wearing out, very common on silverado instrument clusters for this to happen.

I can rebuild the gauge so it doesn't happen again, check my site out here
