According to the owner's manual, the vehicle came with a "key number tag." If you have the tag, or the number off the tag, you should be able to purchase a replacement key from a dealer or locksmith.

Before you go replacing the ignition (and the previous poster didn't mention it, but what about the door locks?) I would check your owner's manual. The original owner may have written the key code in the book!

Also, look around the car. Maybe the tag is stuck in the glovebox!

Do you have any of the papers you received when you bough tthe car (even if used)? Maybe the code is written on something?

Good luck!

My 2006 honda odyssey touring's Doors won't unlock with remote key. Central lock switch wont operate unless ignition is on. Everything works normally if the van's ignition is on or van is running

Do the other functions work on the remote, like will it lock the doors? The batteries in a 2006 remote should just be wearing down so maybe they need replacement. Do you have the second remote and if you do, is it working?

I don't know how to reset the maintenance light. Can you let me know how to do that. I've done all the maintenance to it and just need the light to shut off. Thanks a lot for your time and efforts, David...

I ran into the same issue. Here's how to fix it.

While the car is off, push in on the odometer reset button and turn on the car.
Continue pushing in the odometer button until the light goes off.
Release the button after the light goes off (usually about 3-5 seconds)
