Reason you see it back there is because it is blowing out driving down road and wind is pushing to rear if you look underneath you will probbably see oil all underneath. check your oil filter and make sure it is tight

Where is the fuel filter located on 1999 kia sportage

the filter should be immediately above or beside the fuel tank, just after the fuel line leaves the top of the tank. Look at the diagrams attached. 2b03c06a-aee1-454b-908b-a286dd149035.jpg 624788bd-b4b7-4f27-98bc-7a315842908a.gif

Taking a long to start after cranking for a wile it starts

a few things to check , if it is has a carby then maybe needle is worn and you need to crank vehicle to get fuel all the way from tank to carby , also if it is a carby there is a glass window on side of carby it should be half full at least before you try to start car , you will have to remove air filter assembly to see this on most cars ., the fuel pump is bolted to side of head or block and has a manual pump , this has a small hole at its bottom if any fuel is leaking from here then you will need to replace fuel pump.and also do an oil change as some feed fuel into your oil ..

if you car is fuel injected , maybe you have fuel blockage or fuel pump is needing replacing , change fuel filters first and make sure there is not 2 filters as some have 2 , second usually located near tank under rear of car , sometimes hidden in rear bumper.
hope this helps ..

Where is the fuel filter located on a 2003 kia rio 1.6 liter? I cant find it

For locating the fuel filter look under the car, its just below the back drivers side door, you will see the filter there, its black if its factory and it has three hoses coming off it, basically, find the gas tank and work your way to the front of the car following the lines and you will find the fuel filter. Right by the tire more or less. Try the left side (drivers side) near the rear wheel by gas tank just after the rear door.

60,000 miles or 60 months to replace. Its fairly large and you can see the fuel lines going in and out of it. One nice thing it has snap fittings which makes change over easy.

Thanks. Keep updated for any more query. You can rate this solution and show your appreciation

96 Buick Regal - Issue

You may have overfilled the tank and fuel running down the frame under the car has disolved the bituminous deadning materal taking some with it to form a puddle on the ground.. It's best not to fill after the first click-off as fuel can syphon down the lines and saturate your charcoal canister. Not good. These things are expensive for what they are.

Car is burning oil

you have sort of an swered your own question, its burning it slowly, it could be the piston rings have warn and the oil is seeping past them under presure and being burnt in the fuel, not not noticably enough to signs of smoke from rear , try checking the muffler/rear box and see if there is a sticky oily residue on it, for normal running it should be verry dark grey not pitch black and powdery, if its tacky and like tar, then you are burning oil. hope that helps

Turns but won't start

Fuel filter is easy enough to find. Look under the car in front of the rear passenger wheel.

After that, suspect the fuel pump.
