Question about 2002 Jeep Liberty
Ok - I'm attempting to replace the driver's side mirror but am having a lot of difficulty removing the internal door panel to get at the mirror. I have removed screw from behind the door handle mechanism and the screw in the arm rest - have also removed the window winder. With that done I have tried to ease the panel up (if up is the correct motion) and off but have had no success - it wont budge! Are there anymore screws I need to remove? I'm guessing I can put more muscle into it but I'm fearful of breaking something... Any assistance is greatly appreciated.
The door panel has plastic clips that hold it in place also. Put a thin blade screwdriver between the panel and door. Pry the panel away from the door. The panel will make a loud snapping noise, that is the clip coming out of the retaining hole. Sometimes the clips break.
